AI-readiness score
One scan, eight checks: AI crawler access, indexability, content without JavaScript, title and description, structured data, sitemap, llms.txt and HTTPS. You get a score out of 100 and the fixes that gain the most points first.
What the score measures
It measures whether AI engines can reach and read your site, not whether they recommend you. That second question needs real prompts sent to the engines, which is what the free AI visibility check does.
| Check | Points | What passes |
|---|---|---|
| AI search crawlers allowed | 20 | OAI-SearchBot, Claude-SearchBot, PerplexityBot, bingbot and the user fetchers aren't blocked |
| Content without JavaScript | 15 | At least 1,500 characters of text in the raw HTML |
| Structured data | 15 | Organization and WebSite JSON-LD, one more brand type, no errors |
| Page is indexable | 10 | No noindex in meta robots or X-Robots-Tag |
| Title and description | 10 | A 10-70 character title and a 50-160 character description |
| XML sitemap | 10 | A sitemap with URLs, from robots.txt or /sitemap.xml |
| llms.txt | 10 | A file that follows the llmstxt.org format |
| HTTPS | 10 | The page loads over HTTPS |
Why crawler access and raw HTML weigh the most
If the search crawlers are blocked, nothing else matters: the engine can't read the page, so it can't cite it. And most AI crawlers fetch HTML without running JavaScript, so a single-page app that renders its text in the browser can look empty to them. Server-side rendering or static pages fix that.
llms.txt carries 10 points because it is cheap, not because engines are known to use it. Google says you don't need AI text files for its AI features.
Share your result
Every result has its own link (the URL with ?url=yoursite.com), so you can send it to a developer or a client. Results are cached for an hour; a scan after that runs fresh.
Questions about the ai-readiness score
Is a high score the same as being recommended by ChatGPT?
No. A high score means AI engines can read your site. Whether they recommend you depends on what the wider web says about you, such as reviews, comparisons and listicles. Run the free AI visibility check to see real answers.
How often should I re-check?
After any change to robots.txt, your CDN or firewall settings, your site's rendering, or your templates. Those are the changes that quietly break AI access.
Why is my score low when Google indexes my site fine?
Googlebot renders JavaScript and isn't affected by blocks on AI crawlers. GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot generally don't render JavaScript, and many sites block them by default through a CDN setting.
Does the scan use AI or cost anything?
No. It fetches your page, robots.txt, sitemap and llms.txt and parses them. It's free, with no signup.
