Schema markup checker for AI search

Enter a page to see the structured data it declares, which of the types that matter for brands are missing or incomplete, and a starter Organization + WebSite snippet filled from your page.

Your homepage is the best place for Organization and WebSite markup.

What the schema checker reads

It reads every JSON-LD block in the page's HTML (the format Google recommends), including @graph arrays, and lists the schema.org types it finds. It also notes microdata (itemtype) and RDFa (typeof) markup, which it lists but doesn't validate. Markup injected later by JavaScript isn't seen, which is also true for many AI crawlers.

Does schema help AI visibility?

Google says it uses structured data to understand the content of a page, and it powers rich results. Google also says no special schema is needed for AI Overviews. AI engines mostly read your visible text, so treat schema as a way to state your facts unambiguously (who you are, what you sell, what it costs), not as a ranking trick. Marked-up facts must match what the page shows.

How to add the snippet

  1. Copy the generated snippet and check every value: name, logo URL, and the sameAs list of your real profiles (LinkedIn, X, GitHub, Crunchbase, Wikipedia).
  2. Paste it into the <head> of your homepage, or render it from your layout so it appears on every page.
  3. Test with Google's Rich Results Test, then re-run this checker.

Questions about the schema checker

JSON-LD, microdata or RDFa?

JSON-LD. Google recommends it, it sits in one script tag instead of being woven through your HTML, and it is the easiest to keep correct.

Will FAQ schema get me rich results?

Don't count on it: Google has cut FAQ rich results back sharply. FAQPage is still valid structured data that describes your Q&A plainly, and it should only mark up questions and answers visible on the page.

What should go in sameAs?

The URLs of official profiles that are clearly you: LinkedIn company page, X, GitHub, YouTube, Crunchbase, Wikipedia or Wikidata. They help engines connect your site to the same brand elsewhere.

Why doesn't the checker see my schema?

It reads the raw HTML, before JavaScript runs. If a tag manager or client-side script adds your JSON-LD, many crawlers won't see it either. Render it on the server.
